Elles sont tir\u00e9es sur laine de verre, mat\u00e9riau de construction \u00e0 la fois isolant, mais \u00e9galement assez toxique ; dont les asp\u00e9rit\u00e9s transforment et malm\u00e8nent l\u2019image tir\u00e9e, tout en lui donnant un volume et une consistance tr\u00e8s particuliers. La laine de verre est obtenue par fusion \u00e0 partir de sable et de verre recycl\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cette documentation lente est destin\u00e9e \u00e0 un montage de quatres tirages, inspir\u00e9s de la s\u00e9quence photographique d\u2019une explosion de carri\u00e8re de gypse \u00e0 Argenteuil par le pionnier Albert Londe. Lorsqu\u2019il prend ces images, le scientifique a invent\u00e9 un appareil lui permettant de prendre plusieurs vues instantan\u00e9es \u00e0 quelques millisecondes d\u2019\u00e9cart. Aujourd\u2019hui, cette prouesse technique est devenue banale et ces images sont d\u00e9sormais uniquement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9es pour leurs qualit\u00e9s esth\u00e9tiques. Elles font \u00e9chos \u00e0 ces temps extractivistes dans le bassin parisien d\u00e9sormais r\u00e9volus, mais dont la logique est cependant toujours plus d\u2019actualit\u00e9, malgr\u00e9 les besoins de sobri\u00e9t\u00e9 qui s\u2019imposerait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les ruines invers\u00e9es que d\u00e9non\u00e7ait Robert Smithson s\u2019\u00e9rigent toujours plus nombreuses, saturant les interstices de respiration. Aujourd\u2019hui, la technologie des images est domin\u00e9e par l\u2019IA et l\u2019extr\u00eame vitesse.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A l\u2019inverse, mes prises de vues se font sur le temps long, mixent les technologies anciennes (argentique, peinture) et contemporaines comme l\u2019IA ; et sont tir\u00e9es via un proc\u00e9d\u00e9 exp\u00e9rimental tr\u00e8s lent, qui en brouille la lecture. Photographs were taken from a fixed vantage point at regular intervals over the course of several months. These images are printed onto glass wool\u2014a construction material that serves as insulation but is also quite toxic; its rough, uneven texture transforms and distorts the printed image, while lending it a unique sense of volume and substance. Glass wool is produced by melting sand and recycled glass.Works is about a researsh on a large buildings construction site chantier in Montreuil.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:26px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This \u00ab\u00a0slow documentation\u00a0\u00bb takes the form of a four-print assembly inspired by the photographic sequence of a gypsum quarry explosion in Argenteuil, captured by the pioneer Albert Londe. To take these images, the scientist had invented a device capable of capturing multiple instantaneous shots just milliseconds apart. Today, this technical feat has become commonplace, and the images are valued solely for their aesthetic qualities. They echo an era of extraction in the Paris Basin that has long since passed\u2014yet the logic behind it remains more relevant than ever, despite the urgent need for restraint.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>The \u00ab\u00a0ruins in reverse\u00a0\u00bb decried by Robert Smithson continue to multiply, saturating the spaces that allow for breathing room. Today, image technology is dominated by AI and extreme speed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In contrast, my image-making unfolds over a long timeframe, blending traditional techniques (analog photography, painting) with contemporary ones like AI; the resulting prints are produced using a very slow, experimental process that obscures their legibility.
